It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Shafer (South Pittsburg, Tennessee), born in Holgate, Ohio, who passed away on January 27, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl David and Twila Ellen Warner Shafer; his sister Gloria Shafer; his brother-in-law Herb Arps (Kim Shafer); and his grandson Mitchel Lee.

He is survived by: his daughters, Debby Johnson (William) of South Pittsburg, Brenda Webb (Jason) of Coldwater, Tish Anagnostu (Angelo) of Reading and Tracy Muskasmith of Coldwater, Michigan; his grandchildren, Michael, Barbie, Levi, Naomi, Jessica, Kelly, Brady, Crystal, Sara, Ian, Danielle, Andrew and Chantel; his siblings, Carolyn Arps of Napoleon, Ohio and Terry Shafer (Sherri) of Delta, Ohio; and his daughter Melissa Stocker. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
