It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Coffey Sr. of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Coffey and Ida Cothron Coffey; his wife Easter Louise Glenn Coffey; his children, Fred Coffey and Mellisa Coffey; his siblings, Roy Coffey, Gracie Coffey, Gladys Robinson, Hattie Coffey, Marie McDonald and Ann Coffey; and his grandson Darius Coffey.
He is survived by: his children, James Coffey, Paul Coffey, Dorothea Coffey and Melissa "Nicee" Coffey; and his grandchildren, Jermaine, Calvin, Lamar, Renee, Deanna, Brian, Amera, Jawon, Daequan, Marquis, Deizmond, Ashle', DeMarius, Tykerion, Demiyah and Zay. He is also survived by great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tate Funeral Home (950 Mel Dixon Ln, Jasper, TN 37347). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM. A burial was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Cumberland View Cemetery.
