Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bill Merritt Jr. (South Pittsburg, Tennessee), born in Bridgeport, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 62, on February 9, 2021. He was predeceased by: his father William Lewis Merritt, Sr.; his son William "Will" Lewis Merritt, III; his grandparents, Curtis Lee, Kathryn Arendale Allison, Carl Frank and Beulah Northcutt Merritt; his parents-in-law, Dr. Horace Levoy and Mary Elmore; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Feher, Phillip Winfrey and Janice Elmore.
He is survived by: his mother Virginia Ann Allison Merritt; his wife Lauria Elmore Merritt; his son Matthew Elmore Merritt; his sisters, Kathryn "Cookie" Merritt, Sharon "Candy" Feher and Melissa "Missy" Emerling; his siblings-in-law, Levoy Elmore (Tina) and Jill Winfrey (Butch Maynor); his aunts and uncles, Eileen Murray (Bo), Bedford Allison (Bobbie Cloe), Jeannine Raulston, Charles Merritt and Charles Elmore; and his cousins, Gloria Smith (Randy), Marc Merritt (Priscilla) and Patricia Merritt Cornette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
