It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Samples Muir of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, who passed away on March 20, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband B. C. Muir; her parents, Bertha Mae Phipps and John Samples; and her brothers, Charles Samples and Billy Samples.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Muir, Pam Miller (Stan), Brock Muir and Jeff Muir (Sheryl); her sister Lucille Muir (Ruby Hughes); and her daughter-in-law Linda Beardsley. She is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
