She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Woodruff and Ethel Woodruff; and her husband James A. Choate. She is survived by: her children, Susan Choate (Tom) of Newbern, TN and Dan Choate of Fulton, KY; and her siblings, Louise Hamby of Cottage Hills, IL and Jerry Smith of Long Beach, CA.. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
