He was predeceased by: his parents, Virlie Loveless and Mattie Clara Veatch Byrd; and his siblings, Eldon, Elvis, Herbert Byrd and Sue Benningfield.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Byrd; his sons, Terrell Byrd of Clinton, KY and Gary Byrd (Angie) of Martin, TN; his grandchildren, Carolyn Burk of Sharon, TN, Chris Byrd of Marion, IL, Ryan Byrd (Emily) of Medina, TN, Ashley Baker (Beau) of White House, TN and Garrett Byrd of Jackson, TN; his great grandchildren, Noelle Burk, Brayden, Jaxon, Lynee Byrd, Raya, Barrett and Hudson Baker; his brother Roy Byrd of Cookeville, TN.; and his children, Attn, Rocky Point and Tampa. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
