She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Evans and Jessie Taylor Evans; her former husband James Moore Phillips; her husband Lester Burnette; her daughter Retha Ann Phillips; and her siblings, Frances Brown and Billy Wayne Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Sydney Charles Phillips (Peggy) of Waco, TX, James Albert Phillips (Emma) of Union City, TN and Nena Gail Phillips Shelton (Bob) of Fulton, KY. She is also survived by four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
