He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ray Morris and Donna Inez Gurkin Morris; his wife Joyce Anne Browning Morris; and his siblings, Charlene Atkeison, Peggy Stainback and Thomas Ray Morris.
He is survived by: his daughter Sara Phillips (Lee); his stepchildren, Judy Chambers Hampton, Jeanne Chambers DeLong and James Chambers, Jr. (Elaine); and his siblings, Jesse Morris (Patsy) and Samantha Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
