He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth Needham Garrington and Martha Love "Reta" Spry Garrington; his son Timothy Seth "Tim" Garrington; and his siblings, Wilma Garrington Morel, Marjory Jeanette Garrington, Marjorie Lee Garrington, Mildred Garrington Harris, Nettie Alma Garrington, Pattie Virginia Garrington, Claudia Alma Garrington McCarthy, Naomi Jean Garrington Frank, Reta Faye Garrington Apostolis, Grace Garrington O'Neal, Clara "Peggy" Garrington Swann, Maree Garrington Gordan and Ronald Pernell Garrington.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Burton Garrington; his children, Evelyn Garrington of La Vergne, TN, Candace "Candy" Kelley (David) of Somerville, TN and Russell Alan "Rusty" Garrington (Angie) of Collierville, TN; his grandchildren, Misty Danner, Ashley Wagner (Mark), Matthew Seth Kelley (Linsey), Christin Kelley Bryson (Zach), Kelsea Garrington McGehee (Nik) and Burton Seth Garrington; and his great grandchildren, Miles Marie Bryson, Jolie Wray Bryson, Avacyn Ruby McGehee, Ellie Grace McGehee, Jace McGehee, Baker Seth Kelley, Bryce Danner, Brylee Danner, Madilynne Wagner, Mark Wagner III and Max Wagner.

The family requests that memorials be directed to First Baptist Church of Somerville – Missions, 12685 S. Main Street, Somerville, TN 38068.

“Hello family. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to Ruby and all the family on the passing of "COUSIN" Seth. I got to know Seth from a phone call when I was working on my family tree. His mother was the sister to my GG grandmother Penelopy Dowdy Spry. We got to chat a couple times a year. We talked about getting together for a visit but it never came to fruition. I will miss our chats. May our Lord and Savior comfort you all with his deep deep love and mercy. We will meet again!”
