He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Avent and Jewell Avent; his brother John Bruce Avent; and his grandson Michael Ray Pitsenbarger. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Avent; his daughters, Kim Avent Pitsenbarger (David), Karen Avent Berry (Robert) and Dana Avent Tucker (Houston); and his grandchildren, Matthew Pitsenbarger, Scott Pitsenbarger (Marissa), McKenna Tucker, Collin Tucker (Cynthia), Kye Tucker and Breeze Tucker. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
