He was predeceased by: his parents, William Homer Bishop and Lela Ressie Rogers Bishop; his wife Sarah; his granddaughter Crystal Dillard; his siblings, Euphrey Lee Stainback, Pauline Stainback and Edgar; and his sons, Bishop, Billy Bishop (Lela Mae Parks) and Alford Bishop.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Simpson; and his grandchildren, Ashley Rae Burnett (Ed Sargent), Joshua Burnett (Casie), Joseph Simpson, Chloe Tynes, Destry Dillard and Daija Dillard. He is also survived by five great-great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 9590 Jernigan Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.
