He is survived by: his children, James Tapplin, Jr. (Cassandra), Ruby Tapplin, Diane Tapplin, Jerry Tapplin (Dinah), Serita Tapplin, Curtis Tapplin, Sr. (Tina) and Michael (Brenda); his siblings, Reuben Tapplin (Mary), Willie Tapplin (Cynthia), Jimmie Lloyd (Lucy), Cora Branner, Julia Taylor (Arthur), Pearlie Murrell (Henry), Mary Norman, Gloria Harris (Jessie Sr.) and Dorothy Tapplin; and his grandchildren, Jartarrius Tapplin (Candice), Jamal Tapplin, Monique Davis (Anthony), Christopher Towles, Quannah (Tim) of Washington, Marquis Tapplin, Sharnice Knuth, Tiara Knuth, Curtis Tapplin, Jr., Dorrayn Tapplin, Dominique Tapplin, De'Sean Tapplin, Jaleesa Tapplin and Candis Brown-Wirt (Marcus). He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
