He is survived by: his wife Bettye Burch Leatherwood; his daughters, Tammy Howcroft and Charlotte Smith; his siblings, Christine Tacker, Bonnie Byrd, Edna Cryer, Judy Pepper, Debra Seales, Bill Leatherwood and Virgil Leatherwood; and his grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Ryan Smith, Josh Howcroft, Daniel Howcroft and Paul Howcroft. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
