He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Griggs and Lura Beasley Griggs; and his siblings, Lucille Griggs Guthrie and JT Griggs. He is survived by: his nieces, Phyllis Ann Guthrie (Roy DeLotelle) and Sheila Padgel (Gary); his nephew Daniel Griggs (Kim); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Stephen Guthrie DeLotelle (Sarah), William David DeLotelle, James Griggs, Nathan Griggs, Levi DeLotelle, Wilder DeLotelle, Genevieve DeLotelle and Esther Griggs.
