He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben S. Higgins and Etta Mae Higgins; his son Robert Higgins, Jr.; and his pet Lady. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Ann Higgins; his children, Rickey Higgins (Diane) of Taylor and Renee Higgins of Hixson, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Jennifer Burnette (Duston) of Soddy-Daisy, Russell Higgins (Alison) of Eagle Mountain and Cortney Griffy (Barret) of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Madison Burnette, Chloe Alexander, Christabel and Arabelle Higgins; and his grandchildren, Sawyer and Kaylee Griffy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made in Boone's Memory to the Ronald McDonald House in Chattanooga.
