He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton and Willie Jean Burton; his grandparents, Paul and Nellie Johnson; his son Christopher Burton; his father-in-law Derrell Pettyjohn; and his brother-in-law Eddie Pettyjohn.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Burton; his son Brian Burton (Meloney); his uncle Buddy Johnson; his siblings, Beverly Keyes (Bobby), Ricky Burton (Cathy), Mike Burton (Susan) and Larry Burton (Audre); and his mother-in-law Mary Pettyjohn. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a box for donations in the back of the church for donations. Donations can also be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jerry or your local food bank.
