He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Ables and Mary Ables; and his brothers, Amos Ables, Willard Ables and Gernie Ables.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Holloway Ables; his children, Sheila Vickers (David), Tammy Wilson (Gary) and Terry Ables (Misty); his sister Mona Sharp; his grandchildren, Logan Wilson, Kylie Ables Cooley (Shawn) and Spencer Ables; and his close friend James Grant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
