With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Lebron Scates of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Scates and Jeanette Scates; and his sister Janie Scates. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Tisha Weigart (Chad) and Casey Scates (Carla); his grandchildren, Camron Weigart (Katlynn), Chaiden Durham (Matthew), Anna Scates and Gunner Scates; his great grandchild Brantley; and his brother Steve Scates (Kim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
