He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Frankie Reeves and William Hoyt Yarbrough; his wife Vivian Delores Yarbrough; his siblings, William'Bill'Roger, James Richard Yarbrough, Naomi Kirby and Mildred Emily Dotson; and his son Garland Frankie Yarbrough Jr..

He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Daniel and April Abernathy (Bryant Abernathy); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Yarbrough; and his grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Robert, Brandi, Brittany, Brooke, Brett, Peyton, Xavier and Zion. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
