He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Shipley and Pearl Shipley; his son Kenny Shipley; and his brothers, Harold Shipley, Wib Shipley, Sam Shipley, Red Shipley, Leon Shipley and Charlie Shipley.
He is survived by: his wife Dot Shipley; his children, Lamar Shipley and Carol Rogers (Heath); his sisters, Pat Bowman (Jerry), Peggy Swearengin and Wanda Culver (Frankie); his close friend Jimmy Swearengin; and his grandchildren, Charlie Shipley, Pearl Shipley, Rosie Shipley, Sydnie Rogers, Syvana Rogers, Syerra Rogers, Syleigh Rogers and Syler Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
