He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Reed and Effie Mae Reed; his siblings, Betty Sue Reed, Anna May Coleman, Carolyn Jane Walker, Ed Dean Reed and J. E. Reed; and his daughter Rebecca Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Reed of Soddy-Daisy; his children, Lisa Reed of Soddy-Daisy and Jeff Reed of Buffalo; his stepchildren, Cindiee of Dalton, Georgia and Keith Manton of Ormond Beach, Florida; his siblings, Margaret Harvey of Soddy-Daisy and Billy Joe Reed of Soddy-Daisy; his nephew Preston Harvey (Pam); his grandchildren, Becca Hudspeth of Soddy-Daisy, Jessica Hudspeth of Soddy-Daisy and Ian Shingleton of Soddy-Daisy; and his stepgranddaughter Makayla (Georgia) of Dalton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
