With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bruce Cox Jr. of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bruce Cox, Sr. and Vinnie Maude Cox. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Goins Cox; his children, Christy Thurman (David) and Mark Cox; his grandchildren, Austin Cody Thurman, Andrew Thurman, Dillan Cox and Gavin Cox; and his sister Nancy Pyatt (Larry).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williamson & Sons Funeral Home (8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
