Rachel left this world on December 7, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Leon E. Ramsey; her daughter Audrey (Wendell Brewer); her parents, John Coffey and Cornie Coffey; and her siblings, Jessie, Don Coffey, Eula Rowland, Jean Bryant, Sarah Lynn Coffey, Mae Tolliver and Nellie Edmonson.
She is survived by: her sons, Leon Ramsey Jr. (Dollie) and Jerry Ramsey; her grandchildren, Brently, Brian, April, Tony, Derick, Kimberly, Makayla and Travis; and her sisters, Peggy Payne, Phyllis Russell, Sandy Anders, Barbara Scott, Diane Thompson and Greta Mullins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffey Funeral Home (937 N Broad St, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel (937 N Broad St, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Coffey Cemetery.
