She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Seals and Gladis Seals; her daughter Rita Lawson; and her sister Maria Jarvis. She is survived by: her husband Paul Grooms; her children, Kenny Lawson (Candra) of Sneedville, Scottie Lawson (Bobbie Joe) of Sneedville, Colleen Parrott (Marty Bean) of Mooresburg, Paulette Alvarado of West Virginia, Carla Nugen of Del Rio and Kaylan Grooms of Ennice, NC; and her grandchildren, Jasmin Lawson, Grayson Baker, Brandon Lawson (Cassandra), Chelse Owens (Derrick), Amber Grooms, Brad Parks, Taylor Parrott, George Duarte, Maria, Star, Cassie, Paul, Rosa, Mike Grooms (Alisha), Mechelle Allen (Chris), Candy Webb and Nichole Sartin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McNeil Funeral Home (124 Church St, Sneedville, TN 37869). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to McNeil Funeral Home for help with funeral expenses.
