Vilay Chittaphong Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vilay Chittaphong of Smyrna, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vilay may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thitonesy Sirivong and Khansy Sirivong; and her husband Chanthy Chittaphong. She is survived by: her children, Bangone Sithiphone (Thitsy), Khamphanh Ladalom, Bounthanh Chittaphong (Bouaphanh), Chanpheng Chittaphong (Toune), Chansamone Chittaphong (Vankham), Thongchan Daosavanh (Bounly), Thongdy Chittaphong and Thongsay Chanthanalay (Saway). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three siblings; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
