He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith Marcrum and Mary Katherine Fentress; his wife Eva Francis Marcrum; his daughter Ann Thompson; his grandson Casey Lucas; and his siblings, James Marcrum, Eva Mai Zimmerman, Hazel Louise Lane, Thomas T. Marcrum, William Jewel Marcrum, Georgie Marcrum Thomas and Shirley Jean Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn Lucas (Mark) and Richard Marcrum, Jr.; his stepchildren, Fred Baggett and Jackie Gentry; his grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, Amber, Lisa, Mark Jr., Mandy, Luke, Alexandria, Bryan, Allison, Jackson, Hannah, Caitlyn, Ethan and Emily; his great grandchildren, Eric, Kiya, Terrance, Owen, Ambria, Amara, Naleelah and Kaiser; his great great grandchildren, Evie, Emmie and Clemintin; and his sister-in-law Brenda Fentress.
