With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Howard Marcrum Sr. of Smyrna, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith Marcrum and Mary Katherine Fentress; his wife Eva Francis Marcrum; his daughter Ann Thompson; his grandson Casey Lucas; and his siblings, James Marcrum, Eva Mai Zimmerman, Hazel Louise Lane, Thomas T. Marcrum, William Jewel Marcrum, Georgie Marcrum Thomas and Shirley Jean Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn Lucas (Mark) and Richard Marcrum, Jr.; his stepchildren, Fred Baggett and Jackie Gentry; his grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, Amber, Lisa, Mark Jr., Mandy, Luke, Alexandria, Bryan, Allison, Jackson, Hannah, Caitlyn, Ethan and Emily; his great grandchildren, Eric, Kiya, Terrance, Owen, Ambria, Amara, Naleelah and Kaiser; his great great grandchildren, Evie, Emmie and Clemintin; and his sister-in-law Brenda Fentress.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204).
