It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Long of Smyrna, Tennessee, born in Jackson, Tennessee, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Mary's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary has bequeathed us. She was predeceased by: her parents, Girstle Emerton and Zelma Emerton; her husband Chester Long; her son Danny Long; and her siblings, Roger Emerton, James Emerton and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Long and Marsha Jackson; and her siblings, John Emerton and Sally Stafford. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
