He was predeceased by: his father Lewis McDonald Hartley; his daughter Pamela Garrett Nash; and his sister Johan James. He is survived by: his wife River Lynn Hartley; his children, Debby Carathers, Cindi Thompson, Mark Hartley and Stacy Stewart; and his brothers, Darryl Hartley and Randy Hartley. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
