He was predeceased by: his father James Rhey Smith. He is survived by: his mother Beverly Hearle; his wife Angela; his stepdaughters, Juliana and Carolina; and his siblings, Tayne (Cyndi), Blake (Priscilla), Jay (Kathi) and Amy Freeman (Von). He is also survived by fourteen nephews and nieces.
