It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Dale Bailey of Smithville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Audie Lee and Willie Jean Vassar Bailey, Jr.; his sisters, Glenda Sue Ford, Janet Kay Lattimore, Kathy Jewel White and Nancy Lee Bailey; his nephews, Michael and Jeff Ford; his parents-in-law, James and Mae Lattimore; and his brothers-in-law, David, Brad Lattimore, Tim Martin and Mike Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Marie Bailey of Smithville; his caregivers, Rachel Anderson (Billy), Ashley Satterfield (Jason), Amanda Ferrell (Steven) and Tyler McCloud; his siblings-in-law, Rick Lattimore and Barbara Burton (Harold); and also, Pat Ford (Robert Rowe), Faye Martin and Reba Scott (Brian). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, fellow church members, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the DeKalb Cemetery (3027 McMinnville Hwy, Smithville, TN 37166).
