He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nile and Louise Willis Reed; his wife Sara "Ginny" Reed; his son Brent Reed; and his siblings, Charlotte Reno, Gary Reed and Mikey Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Curtis (Doyle) of Liberty, Bart Reed (Glenda) of Georgia, Brian Reed (Phyllis) of Smithville and Barry Reed (Angie) of Smithville. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Highpoint Hospice or the charity of your choice, in memory of Mr. Reed.
