She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Hooper and Flora Trusty Hooper; her son Jerry Lane Poss; and her siblings, Maureen of Florida, Eugene Hooper, Milas Hibdon, Peggy Blish Parsley, Doris Cripps, Hoyte Hooper and Faye Trotter.
She is survived by: her husband WJ Poss of Smithville; her children, John Poss (Lori) of Smithville, Jim Poss (JJ) of Smithville and Dana Franklin (Travis) of Smithville; her grandchildren, Corey Poss (Erin), Bethany Poss, Whitney Lester (Cameron), Lane Poss (Madison) and Tanner Poss (Lexi Roller); her great grandchildren, Laney, Sutton Poss and Oakleigh Lester; her sister Dean Johnson of Smithville; and her caregivers, Janet Greer and Brenda Cripps. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
