Mainelle left this world on November 28, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Mathis and Callie Chumbley Mathis; her sister Lucille Davenport; and her nephew Larry Davenport. She is survived by: her son Kenneth Derting (Marie) of Liberty; her granddaughter Tabitha Derting of Liberty; her great grandchild David Hutchins of Liberty; her nephews, Mickey Davenport (Jennifer) of Liberty and Hugh Davenport (Terri) of Smithville; and her niece Leigh Ann McGill of Knoxville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at the Salem Cemetery.
In addition to flowers, the family ask that donations be made to either Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Chruch or to Caris Hospice, in memory of Mainelle.
