She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Simmons and Lovie Selby Simmons; her daughter Marie Ballew Barrett; her siblings, Virgie Simmons, Buster Simmons, Ethel Hedges, Irene Taylor, Vitalla Emery, Vena Davis and Merle Simmons; and the father of her children Beacher Ballew.
She is survived by: her son Hank Ballew (Charlotte) of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Hank Ballew, Jr. (Lisa) of Clarksville, Tressa Lastik (Lewis) of Clarksville, Brad Williams (Holly) of Cookeville, Keisha Smith (Tony) of Sparta and Nikki Barrett of Gallatin; her great grandchildren, Zackary Smith, Gavin, Tyler Williams, Nicholas Ballew (Cainey) and Jack Elliot Ballew; her great great grandchild Judy Bee Ballew; and her brothers, David Simmons and Frank Simmons.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
