With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Pirtle of Smithville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 10, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pirtle and Maggie Keith Braswell; his grandchildren, Jeremy Caldwell, Joshua Caldwell and Courtney Pirtle; his siblings, Donna Sue Lawson, Faye (Jimmy Smith), Sandra (Earl Houk), Eugene Evans and William Pirtle; his sons-in-law, Ronnie Hale, Jim Haley and Michael Caldwell; and his close friend Keith Petriquin.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Houk Pirtle; his children, Danny Pirtle (Melissa) and Judy Hale; his grandchildren, Trista Bond (Jake), Danny Pirtle Jr. (Kayla), Matthew Hale, Amy Hale and Julie Vincent (Kenny); his great grandchildren, Michael Caldwell, Christopher Caldwell (Beverly Knauer), Michael Bond, Lettie Bond and Tony Lawson; and his close friends, Pete Kasoudji and Carroll Irby.
Donations can be made to Shriner's Hospital in memory of Mr. Pirtle.
