He was predeceased by: his parents, Toy Nixon and Clara Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Kay Nixon; his sons, James Nixon (Crystal) and Jesse Nixon (Kelly); his grandchildren, Michael Nixon (Jordan), Emily Nixon and Curtis Nixon; and his pets, Tootie and Stanley.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Baird Memorial Cemetery (48 Sykes Rd, Hickman, TN 38567).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in memory of Dr. Gary Nixon.
