He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hooper and Maggie Turner Hooper; his son Billy Hooper, Jr.; and his siblings, Allen Hooper, Louise Story, Harry Hooper, T. M. Hooper, Clyde Hooper and Eddie Hooper.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Hooper of Smithville; his granddaughter Jessica Taylor (Pete) of Smithville; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Adelann Taylor of Smithville; his brother Jack Hooper (Marlys) of California; and his sisters-in-law, Johnnie Ruth Hunt of Liberty, TN, Sue Cook of Statesville, TN and Juanita Hooper of Smithville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons for bibles.
