He was predeceased by: his spouse Emilie Ervin Powell; his parents, William Marshall Powell and Margaret Harvey Bomar Powell; his siblings, Marie Powell Bragg of Tullahoma, TN, Rose Powell Clinard and Robert Stone Powell; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Callis and Kimery Ervin.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Powell Rafter (Michael) and Jaden Powell Rafter of Milton, Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Ervin Powell of Wartrace, TN and Susan Ervin Callis.
