She was predeceased by: her siblings, John M. Stolpmann, Jr., Virginia S. Cross and Pauline Kropp. She is survived by: her husband August; her children, Catherine Cate White, Forrest Cate, III and John Cate (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Forrest Cate, IV (Jenna), Matthew Cate, Preston Cate, Michael Cate, Kassey O'Kelley, Anna Cate, Lilly Cate and Shiloh Robertson; her great grandchild Lucy Blake Cate; her siblings, Jo Fleming and Jim Stolpmann; her nieces and nephews, Michael Cross, Susan Smith, Chris Kropp, Terri Fleming Zwicker, Catherine Fleming and Steve Fleming; and her friends, Lynn Jones and John Rymer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Scenic City Stroke Support Group, 2413 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404 in Marcia's honor.
