The passing of Leona York Chadwick of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, born in Mentone, Alabama leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 14, 2025 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Leona shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Leona farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William M. York and Laura A. Swanson York; and her husband Berlis J. Chadwick. She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Hobgood (Bob), Shelley Deaton (Jack), Jan Chadwick Rubio and Amy Gibson (Cary). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fischer Cemetery.
