It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Louis Douthat of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Douthat and Mary Douthat; and his sister Roberta Bellamy. He is survived by: his wife Willela; his children, Thomas A. Douthat and Marilee; his son-in-law Mike Cleland; his granddaughters, Sara Elizabeth Cleland and Caroline Grace Cleland; and his sister Margaret Elam Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Signal Mountain United Methodist Church (3419 Taft Hwy, Signal Mountain, TN 37377). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
