It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Nelson Millwood of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though David Nelson has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Goldie, Delannie Millwood of Signal Mountain, TN, Minnie Lee and Nelson Kerley of Signal Mountain, TN.. He is survived by: his children, Whitney Trew (Tommy) of Ten Mile, TN and Logan Millwood of Decatur, TN; his parents, Marvin Millwood of Signal Mountain, TN and Carolyn Millwood of Decatur, TN; and his granddaughters, Hannah and Hailey Trew. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services (163 Arrants Rd, Decatur, TN 37322). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Meigs County Memorial Gardens (20054 TN-58, Decatur, TN 37322).
