He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Doak and Myrtie Ann Evins; his brother Ronald "Ronnie" Doak; his nephew Jeremey Doak; and his stepmother Donette Dedmon Doak.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Bobo Doak; his children, Matt Doak of Bedford County, Luke Doak (Nicole) of Bedford County, Caleb Doak (Jessica) of Bedford County, Micah Wilson (Josh) of Bedford County, Joel Doak (Jamie) of Bedford County, Israel Doak (Ashleigh) of Bedford County, Ephraim Doak (Laura) of Bedford County, Jesse Ray (Dustin) of Bedford County, Judah Doak of Bedford County and Samuel Doak of Bedford County; his siblings, Charlie Doak, Jr. of Lebanon, Andy Doak (Melissa) of Tullahoma and Leigh-Ann Lasater (Charles) of Lebanon; and his sister-in-law Gwendolyn Marsh Doak. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
