He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Virgil and Era Mai Barber Hooker; his grandson Phillip Daniel; his son-in-law Kerry Limbaugh; his brother Larry Hooker; and his brother-in-law Harry Molder.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Joan Clardy Hooker; his children, Beverly Joy Hooker Posey (Horton), Jeffrey Alan Hooker (Pamela) and Phyllis Ann Hooker Limbaugh of Shelbyville; his siblings, Gary Hooker (Patsy), Marie Blackburn (Marlin), Elizabeth Molder, Barbara Gregory (Bill) and Sherry Smith (Claude); his sister-in-law Judy Hooker; his grandchildren, Dr. Joel Daniel (Katie), Michelle Crosslin (David), Jeremy Hooker (Brittany), Alisha Hooker and Seth Limbaugh; his great grandchildren, Zoe Daniel, Thomas Daniel, Rosanna Joan Daniel, David Micheal Crosslin, Johnathan Crosslin, Rylee Hooker, Patrick Hooker and Olivia Hooker; and also Jackie Riddle.
The family wants to thank everyone for wearing a mask and practicing social distancing for all commemorative services.
