She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Stanley and Janet Jensen Stanley. She is survived by: her husband Michael Thompson; her daughter Julia Stanley of Madison; her grandchildren, Brandan Hernandez and Kyler Watkins; her brother William "Bill" Simms of Murfreesboro; and her close friend Rita Willis.
