She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Hancock and Mary Reba Wright Hillis; and her siblings, Marion Hancock Jr., Patsy Ann Parrill and Shirley Fordham.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny Burton; her children, Patricia Bravo, Benson Merlo, Parker Lee Merlo and Anthony Jason Merlo; and her siblings, Bessie Adams and John Hancock. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and, thirteen great grandchildren.
