He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Whitfield Scruggs of Bedford County and Nelie Lois Clark of Bedford County; his wife Anne White Scruggs; and his grandson Bryant Hardison. He is survived by: his daughters, Fabienne Entenza Laveau and Adrienne Hickman of Shelbyville; his stepchildren, Kreis White (Jennifer) of Nashville, George White (Rosemary) and Lisa White (Dan) of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Kyla, Angel, Nikki, Lindsey, Jillian, Peytan, Nichole, Annie, Ryan, Aaron, Allison, Elizabeth, Matthew, Joshua and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Josh, Bella, Logan, Luke, Jameson, Grayson, Olivia and Lillian.
