He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Henry and Ruth Emma Groat Perou; his daughter Carol Perou; and his siblings, Fred Perou, Thomas Perou and Ruth Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his wife Carman Lemmon Perou of Shelbyville; his son David Perou (Nancy) of Texas; his stepchildren, Kevin Youchum (Kelley) of Texas and Chris Youchum of Colorado; his sister Patricia Tow (Joe) of St. Louis; his sister-in-law Evelyn Perou; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Flores, Robbin Flores (Woodard), Sean Flores and Matthew Ryan Perou (Madeline). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
