With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Ammon Wessner of Shelbyville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert Ammon left this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Edward Wessner and Alda Delores Boyce Wessner; and his grandson Samuel Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lovinia Wessner; his children, Lyn Dowd (Dan) of Dandridge, TN, April Jackson (Gary) of Birmingham, AL and Josh Wessner (Lauren) of Shelbyville, TN.; his grandchildren, Ashley Dowd, Michael Dowd, Russ Flade, Shelby West, Taylar Wessner, Chase Wessner and Luke Jackson; and his siblings, Kennith Wessner (Carla) of Shelbyville, Vonda Lee Cawthron (Johnny) of Shelbyville and Carl Wessner (Melva) of Shelbyville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home (739 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contribution may be made to: Shelbyville Firefighter's Foundation (by mail: 111 Lane Parkway Shelbyville, TN 37160), a group that Robert was proud to be a part of every year during their annual Children's Christmas Toy Drive.
