He is survived by: his wife Edna Donnell Barnes of Shelbyville; his son Roger William Barnes of Murfreesboro; his sister Mattie May Lewter Sawyer of Boonshill; his grandchildren, Chris Barnes and Stephanie Barnes Thornton; and his great grandchildren, Chandler Barnes, Keagan Barnes, Kaycee Barnes, Rozalyn Thornton and Clayton Thornton.
